Trivia (IMDb)
This game takes place during the events between Resident Evils 4 and 5.
This game and Revelations 2 have no direct story connections, but do have the same gaming style. Such as: Raid Mode arcade style; takes place between two main games; both are in episode format; and play in survival horror tone.
In 2017, the game was upgraded to the following platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
In Episode 1-2 if you scan O-Brian with the Genesis, he will say "What doe's it read? That I'm one sexy mofo right?"
Originally released for the Nintendo 3DS on January 26th, 2012, but was ported to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.
A file called "History of the Queen Zenobia" can be found in the captain's room in episode 3-2. It explains that the Queen Zenobia's 1930s-styled design was "based on blueprints left by George Trevor before his disappearance". George Trevor is well-known among fans of the Resident Evil series as the architect of the Spencer Mansion, which was the central place of action in Resident Evil (1996) and its remake Resident Evil (2002). According to that game, Spencer was invited at the mansion after its construction was complete, but became a prisoner after he learned of the immoral experiments that were conducted there. He briefly managed to escape before getting lost in the mansion, and died of starvation and thirst.
A brief epilogue shows Chris and Jill entering the Spencer Estate that is playable in Resident Evil 5's Lost In Nightmare level and it's also in Chris's flashback he tells Sheva Alomar in the Resident Evil 5 main game. This means, when Chris and Jill are done doing business in Revelations, they go straight ahead to the events of Resident Evil 5.
The Queen Zenobia and its sister ships Queen Semiramis and Queen Dido were named for three legendary queens from history who featured prominently in ancient mythology. The real Zenobia and Semiramis were Middle-Eastern queens who ruled over large parts of the Arabian peninsula; Dido was born in the Middle-East but later founded the Empire of Carthage. Contrary to what the term 'sister ships' may suggest, they weren't related. Semiramis and Dido probably lived around the same time (9th century BC) but Zenobia lived more than a millennium later.
On the beach stage near the start of the game, if you scan Parker, he will reply "Huh, trying to get to know the real me?".
Before Episode 1 in the cafeteria of the Queen Zenobia, there is a soda vending machine with a brand named "Trish". This a reference to the character of the same name from the Devil May Cry series.
Mistakes
Inside of the casino's VIP/surveillance room, wine bottles can be spotted sitting on a cabinet near the ladder at the end of the room. If closely inspected with the scope of a rifle, "Queen Zenobia" can be seen labeled on the bottles, suggesting the vessel had its own exclusive brand of wine.
These bottles are dated "2012" beneath the wine's brand and logo, indicating when the wine was made. Yes, this is the same year Resident Evil Revelations was released, but an error considering the game's story events take place between 2004 and 2005, which would imply the vessel's wine was made in the future.
Jill fires a missile launcher from inside a helicopter. Man-portable missile launchers have significant backblast to avoid recoil, which would kill or incapacitate anyone within the helicopter.
The miniguns that Jill and Chris use to fight the boss creature on the Queen Zenobia appear from nowhere, not being in the helicopter before.
The Queen Zenobia's red waterline is showing in spite of the fact that she is sinking. Even if she wasn't sinking, the waterline shouldn't be showing because it would indicate that there was very little weight on board.
Some of the guns hold less ammo than it would in real life.
A 3-round burst should not be possible with a revolver.
None of the team members ever wear any sort of protection despite sticking their hands into unknown biological material.
There is somehow still air on the Queen Dido, even though the rust within it should have removed all the oxygen.
The Queen Zenobia's communications system requires the main power to function. Considering that communications equipment would be vital in an emergency, it should be able to use auxiliary power as well.
There are somehow candles burning on the Queen Dido in spite of her being sunken and abandoned.
In spite of dealing with a virus, no measures are taken to properly contain it.
Chris states that the satellite laser fried all electronics, but the radios somehow work.
When Parker calls Jill saying that he has found Chris, Jill never asks how Chris is doing.
Chris does not express concern over Jill having been immersed in virus-contaminated water. He wasn't told that she had received the vaccine.
Grinder states that attacking beasts are just wolves, when they are really B.O.W.'s.
