For the exception for the Flashback and End Of The Road scenarios, each scenario has its own director; just like in the other Outbreak game.

The regions that are explored in this game are: The Raccoon City Zoo, The Subway, an abandoned hospital in the middle of the Arklay Mountains, the Raccoon City Police Department, Underground Umbrella Labs and The City Streets and Rooftops.

This is the only of the two Outbreak games where you can play unlocked mini games you earn, such as Eliminator and Showdown.  Some areas in those mini games are from the first Outbreak game.

You can transfer all the purchased items in your collection database from Outbreak 1 to Outbreak File 2 without having to recollect and buy them all. A memory card is required.

Capcom shut down the game servers to the USA on December 31, 2007 and Japan on June 30, 2011.

Mistake

Both the Outbreak games end at the same time in time line, but they both end in different places. In the first Outbreak file game, the game ends with your character being escorted out of Raccoon City by helicopter, and the second game ends with your character down a highway looking back at the ruined city.
