Some of the ship's interior, especially the central staircase, are based on the interior of the RMS Titanic.

The name of the ocean liner, Spencer Rain, comes from the name of Ozwell Spencer, one of the cofounders of Umbrella, and Rain is the name of the female combatant from the first Resident Evil movie.

The game's DVD box contains an error.  It has the misspelling of Bruce McGivern's name as McGavin.

This is the only Resident Evil Gun Survivor game to feature third-person gameplay.

Originally Dead Aim was going to be Resident Evil 4, involving Leon and Ada exploring an Umbrella cruise liner, but the idea was scrapped.  This is why Bruce and Fongling resemble Leon and Ada.
