Synopsis
Four years have passed since Alice and Claire Redfield's convoy split up and went their own route. Claire and her convoy went to Alaska to seek survival, while Project Alice arrived in an Umbrella facility in Tokyo, Japan, where the zombie outbreak also is happening. The Umbrella Corporation, lead by Chairmen Albert Wesker feel safe and secure in their underground fortress, but they're wrong. Alice clones group up to fight commandos in their fortress as a means to locating Wesker. Wesker fights back and eventually escapes via Umbrella bomber, where he sets off a bomb to destroy the facility of Alice clones, and half of Tokyo. Meanwhile, the real Alice awaits him on the bomber jet and Wesker manages to rob her of her super powers and threatens to exterminate her. This didn't happen as the bomber jet crashed into the side of a mountain, leaving Alice part injured and left.
Months later, Alice arrives in a safe remote area in Alaska where she goes to locate Claire and what remains of her convoy, only to find a field of small planes and the Umbrella helicopter that Claire piloted. A short search leads Alice to locate Claire Redfield with loss of memory, but no one else. The next day, the two of them go flying in Alice's plane south down the west coast of North America, ending up at a prison in Los Angeles with a handful of survivors.
In Los Angeles, Alice and Claire meet up with a group of survivors trying to stay safe and alive in the prison, hiding from the zombies. Alice looks for a way to escape the facility with everyone inside, even with a giant monster holding a heavy axe that comes to attack them. After the axe man is defeated, the remainders of the survivors, Alice, Claire, and her lost brother Chris escape the city via underground sewage tunnel for the cost, take a small motor boat to the Arcadia ship where radio transmissions are coming from, only to discover that Wesker, Bennett are there with a bunch of survivors being used for experimentation.
Alice battles Wesker, and his zombie dogs and Bennett who has super human abilities due his T-Virus infection, and both Redfield siblings also battle Wesker (with Chris, it's more of a personal score to settle). Wesker manages to escape, leaving Alice and the Redfield's behind on the ship. Alice and Claire release the survivors, and sends out a radio broadcast that they are Arcadia where they'll provide help, food and shelter.
Everything seems hopeful now, until a fleet of Umbrella aircrafts show up to give trouble, lead by a brainwashed Jill Valentine, but we'll leave that for the sequel.
